Event Details

In some sense, all painting is about the handling of light:  the life-giving natural light of the day, the glow from a candle, the moonlight bathed gently in its brightness...but only Rembrandt's paintings have a mystic aura about them.  The mystery of its dispelling magic grips us with illuminating intricacies, casting light into our darkness, raising us to an exhalated spiritual state.

Join us as we survey the life and work of an artist widely considered one of the greatest in history:  Rembrandt van Rijn.  Presented by Professor Karri Fritz-Klaus of Cornerstone History Symposium.

This is the third lecture in a five-part series, "The Spirituality of Light:  A Moral Compass."  Mark your calendars for the remaining presentations (11/12:  Klimt, 12/10:  Turner).  Free to attend.  No registration required.
